OCTAHEDRON TABLE
OBJECTIVE: To use 3D printing as opposed to standard fabrication practices as a basis to form larger structures and reduce the risk of compounded manual tolerances when building unconventional geometry.
CONCEPT: A table requiring only two components to form a stable structure: a 3D printed joint and a saw-cut acrylic tube. In CAD, circles are oriented in 3D space, lofted into tubular surfaces, unioned, and shelled into a singular solid.

GENERATIVE SHELF
OBJECTIVE: To use Fusion 360's generative design tool in a practical application and to utilize its organic geometry to optimize material efficiency and enhance visual interest.
CONCEPT: A shelf bracket which begins with a 1/4" diameter sweeping band, matched by a 1/4" diameter constraint on the resulting generative geometry. Obstacle geometry provides screw clearance.

BRANCH TABLE
OBJECTIVE: To use Fusion 360's volumetric lattice tool to increase structural rigidity and enhance visual interest by exposing the pattern rather than limiting it to an infill.
CONCEPT: A table structured with 3D printed joints. The lattice structure is omitted from the male ends to increase surface area for adhesive and is offset at the seams of the aluminum tubes for flush joinery.

HONEYCOMB PENDANT
OBJECTIVE: To create an ornamental lighting fixture inspired by the lean, tapering geometry found in Art Deco architecture.
CONCEPT: A 3D printed array of tessellated hexagons, extruded and then sliced with angled planes originating around their center. An opaque LED housing and translucent diffuser snap-fit with a recessed lip for a continuous surface.

LEVITATION LAMP
OBJECTIVE: To create a bedside lamp that optimizes a lack of space, is void of harsh light from any viewing angle, and evenly distributes light in all directions.
CONCEPT: A corner piece composed of simple saw-cut acrylic rectangles. Mitered edges allow the black shader to be closely offset from the wall, softening the intensity of the light from the white diffuser around it. Clear laser-cut connectors internally bridge the two components for a continuous border of light.

LIGHT WARPER
OBJECTIVE: To capture and precisely manipulate the light-distorting properties of an acrylic rod in order to create artistically valuable photographs.
CONCEPT: A laser-cut fixture to hoist the rod at an optimal distance from the camera's lens and stabilize the rod for manual focusing. A thumb screw fastens the fixture by the camera's tripod threaded insert.

LB RING
OBJECTIVE: To impress my girlfriend with a custom gift.
CONCEPT: A lost wax-casted silver ring with our personalized first name initials, L and B. A custom cursive font was drawn in Illustrator, embossed onto a cylinder in Fusion 360, then repeated along the lateral surface with the circular pattern tool.
